One of the driving forces behind the resurgence of gothic rock and post punk in Finland in the new millennium, Kuudes Silmä have kept a long break from recording. Previous works have appeared on the sadly defunct Combat Rock Industry label, and Svart Records welcomes the group into the fold with their 2nd full length album Pelko.
Although expressing themselves in their native tongue, Kuudes Silmä's music is very much part of the greater global post-punk underground. Formed, suitably enough, in Berlin in 2009, the band have played several tours around Europe, America and Russia, and appeared on Maximum Rock'n'Roll's Sound the Alarm -compilation. On Pelko the band takes a small step towards gothic maturity, with some of the most abrasive tones giving room for a more new wave pop approach.
