DEMIGOD's early demo Unholy Domain reissued on vinyl and cassette tape in March
Unholy Domain is a cornerstone of Finnish death metal; a raw, bleak, and technically skillful masterpiece from 1991. It's a true cult gem with a gritty and fizzy sound that leaves room to hear the architectural precision and subtle progression in Demigod’s riffs and tempo changes. Reissued on a 12" vinyl and cassette tape in March 2027 via Svart Records, this is the quintessential Finnish death metal demo. Don't sleep on it!
Together with bands like Demilich, Abhorrence, Disgrace, Xysma and Sentenced, Demigod from the wastelands of Loimaa, southern Finland, put Finland on the map in the global death metal scene in the late 80's and early 90's. Unholy Domain was the demo that gained them the underground fame and paved the way for the following debut album Slumber of Sullen Eyes (1992), that was received with open arms and drooling excitement by the then very active underground death metal scene.
Unholy Domain vinyl comes with a booklet featuring an interview by the Finnish tape trading pioneer and legend Luxi Lahtinen with vocalist/guitarist Esa Lindén and drummer Seppo Taatila, with reviews and articles from zines of the early nineties.
