To many Finns the name of Jarmo Nikku is familiar from a lot of rock and pop music of the 80s and 90s, such as Mikko Kuustonen and Hector, but the beginning of his musical career was something else entirely. His first band Farout was formed in 1977 after the bunch of teenage friends saw Camel live in Finland. The late 70s were a difficult time for progressive rock, and many great albums dropped out of the public eye quickly and sold poorly as punk rock was taking over.
