If endless summer is your idea of fun, Plastic Tones are here to offer you permanent vacation.
If there's one trait often connected to Finnish music, it's melancholy and even despair. The young Helsinki power pop band Plastic Tones prefer to turn their backs on sadness and draw inspiration from vintage American guitar-based pop-rock in the vein of Blondie or Real Kids. This sunshine walk on the beach promenade under the palm trees is 6 tracks long and full of catchy choruses.
Svart Records are happy, in an entirely un-Finnish way, to release the band's new six-song mini album on vinyl. It's available on CD as well, with the band's two earlier EPs as bonus tracks.
